Folk duo, Gaberlunzie - Gordon Menzies and Robin Watson - are to do a St Andrew’s gig on 29th November at the Dunoon Pipe Band Hall in Union Street, Dunoon. The event is designed as a fund-raiser towards restoring Dunoon Burgh Hall, for which fund-raising is an ongoing local commitment.

Gaberlunzie is a medieval Scots word for a licensed beggar and the duo - called The Gabs - are renowned for their teasing blend of music, song and humour. They’ve been together since the early 1970s and are recognised for marrying modern and traditional Scottish songs.

Tickets - £8.50 - will be available in retail outlets around Dunoon, or by phone from 01369 702459 or 01369 703803 - or turn up on the night, be a bit of a gaberlunzie yourself and blag your way in.
