The annual festival of walking and the arts in Argyll’s Cowal Peninsula – Cowalfest, begins on 3rd October and runs until 12th October. The organisers point out that walking is healthy, cheap, exploratory, can be communal and is largely carbon neutral. The festival programme speaks for itself – a great spectrum of walks and arts events from exhibitions to listening to the resident Barn and Tawny owls at Dunans hoot your blood cold as you see Macbeth by moonlight in the castle ruins. And for events like this, your protective gear for walking does double duty.
The programme is on the website. If you’re from the media, your contacts are Russell & Dorothy Bruce.
