Sailings cancelled as Met office issues severe weather warning

Sailings between Barra and Eriskay, between Ullapool and Stornoway and between Lewisburgh and Berneray have been cancelled today (23th October) due to weather conditions. The Met office has issued a sever weather warning to parts of central Scotland bordering on Argyll. The forecast is for up to 50mm of rain to fall on already saturated ground across Stirling and Perthshire. Heavy rain and flooding has already affected the west of Scotland.

The advice is to refer to the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (Sepa) for live flood warnings and Traffic Scotland for road information.
