Today -- 600,672 hits in the three weeks since publication. Yesterday it stood at 580,000. This is the performance to date of Thank You For Dancing, Connect 2008 Music Festival made by the Scottish Community Foundation funded Out There For Argyll project’s two video tutors, John Fyfe Patrick with Dave Dunbar. They filmed throughout the festival this year, with a young interviewer working in the area over the summer. This was edited into the video that has stormed the You Tube rankings.

John Patrick has form in this. His solo video of last year’s Connect Festival was a mega hit on You Tube with 191,077 hits and his channel -- johnp3011 is well worth a visit. Dave Dunbar is, with his partner Arlene Cullem, the winner of a Scottish Bafta last year.

The current success of their Connect video is also welcome news for Inveraray in Mid Argyll. The continuing success of the Festival is important to the local economy and the promotional value of a You Tube success like this is beyond price. We’ll let you know when it hits 1 million. It will. See it for yourself.
