Islay gets the geese invasion

One of Argyll’s main wildlife environments, the Isle of Islay, has just had its annual invasion of migrating geese. The count on Friday 5th October, with the main volume already on the Gruinart Flats, was 26,625 Barnacles, 205 Whitefronts, 8 Pinkfoots, 21 Pale bellied Brents and 2 Canadas.
