A week on Friday the sale of the Glendaruel Hotel will close. Offers should be in by Midday Friday 31st October latest.
The local community is watching these developments with great interest, if not trepidation. Since the Hotel closed last year there has been no licenced social meeting place in Glendaruel, and the community has felt its loss acutely.
Concern is being expressed by many that the property might be bought by a developer with no interest in running the establishment as a hotel and already moves have been made to contact Development Control at Argyll & Bute Council to ensure that the facility is not lost to the community.
It is certain that at the inaugural Glendaruel & Colintraive Development Trust meeting on the 9th November this issue will be at the top of the agenda.
