Arctic Convoy tribute photo-story on the way

This is a holding operation to alert visitors to the photo-story we will publish later on the unique tribute to the Arctic Convoy veterans which took place yesterday, organised by Pool House Hotel at Loch Ewe. It was Scotland’s Loch Ewe that was the base from which most of the Arctic – or Russian – Convoys sailed to the far north in unimaginable conditions and at huge risk of sinking by U-boats and by the German airforce.
The Pool House Hotel has arranged for us to have access to the photographs it has had taken of the event, attended by high ranking diplomatic and naval personnel from the UK and from Russia.
So watch this space. We will publish the piece as soon as possible.
