The Lochgoilhead Fiddle Workshop is inviting adults to come and try the fiddle - free - at 2.00pm on Sunday 7th September in Lochgoilhead Village Hall. Since the Fiddle Workshop was established in 2002, over 200 young people and over seventy adults have had free ‘taster’ workshops in fiddle, mandolin and tin whistle. This is the latest one. You only need to be over sixteen. You don’t need ever to have touched a fiddle. You don’t even need to be sure you’re musical. The Fiddle Workshop will lend you a fiddle for the session. The tutor will be Sarah Naylor form Skye, who teaches fiddle in Lochgoilhead and in its neighbouring Cowal village of Strachur.

The session is free but participants are asked to book in advance as places are limited and they need to know how many fiddles to supply. Phone 01301 703504 to book your place and your fiddle - and do turn up in good time for each session, as the timings are tight.
