July 19th and 20th will see Argyll’s third Dunstaffnage Music Festival, just north of Oban - and visitors will see over seventy bands rock up on five stages, alongside DJs, comedians and street performers. Acts this year include the rock band, Pop Up, ska specialists Pama International, Nanobots, Skippinish and Sorren MacLean. Local bands will aslo be showcased, with Eightpagepullout, The Yellow Bentines and Chunks.

The Festival is in any real sense fifteen years old, not three. It began as an annual birthday party at Achnacloich, west of Dunstaffnage. It got gradually bigger until the decision was taken to set it up as an annual public festival at Dubstaffnage.
