Belly good - Argyll to shake it out with Farida Dance in Inveraray

Argyll will shake it out in Inveraray in September. Furnace-based Arabic dance group, Read my Hips, is bringing a great event to the town’s Argyll Hotel then. Kay Taylor from Farida Dance has accepted an invitation to teach a weekend of Arabic dance workshops in the town and to lead a public performance party ( a Hafla) on the Saturday night. The founder of Farida Dance, Kay is an internationally known teacher and performer based in Northumberland and organises Farida tours to Egypt and Turkey. Local dancers will join Kay in performances at the Hafla.

The workshops are: Techno Belly Dance with Attitude - on Saturday 20th September from 2.00 - 5.00pm; and Classical Egyptian Belly Dance on Sunday 21st September from 11.0am - 1.00pm. The Hafla is in the evening on Saturday 20th September from 8.00pm - midnight. Weekend Tickets including both workshops and The Hafla cost £30. Hafla ticket only costs £9, with -16s paying £5.
