Strathclyde Police in unusual rescue in Furnace

A fourteen year-old boy had to be rescued by Strathclyde Police last weekend when he fell through and got stuck between two planks of wood on the remains of the old pier at Furnace. An Ambulance attended and the rescue was successful, although the youngster sustained a degree of injury to his leg.
