Oban fishermen who have already lost twelve berths to the second CalMac linkspan at Railway Pier are getting nowhere in their talks with Oban Bay Marine over the impact on their businesses of the planned new pontoon development. This aims to develop yachting facilities and increase yacht usage of the marina, hoping to create an additional £3 mllion per annum . Fishermen fear that with up to twenty businesses at risk, some of their number may be forced to move elsewhere.
